Tejeda is a village in the middle of Gran Canaria. It is a small village where there is much to see. For example, you can visit the museum of Canarian sculptor Abraham Cárdenes or the parish church. You can also learn about the healing powers of some Canarian plants.
Tejeda also has much to offer for those interested in archaeology. For example, there are several caves that served as burial grounds, prehistoric houses and petroglyphs. The real highlight is the Roque Bentayga: this was considered a sacred site for the locals. Inside the caves are The Cuevas del Rey, the King's Caves. So lots of culture and history can be found here!
