Fataga

Barranco de Fataga is a spectacular ravine in which hundreds of palm trees grow. In the ravine lies the quiet mountain village of Fataga. It is a fairytale village among palm and citrus trees. The village is a typical reflection of the Canary Islands: narrow, paved streets and local architecture. Sloping roofs with curved red tiles, pretty balconies and walls of black lava rock between white walls are also part of the culture.

Driving south, you will come across a beautiful viewpoint over the ravine.

Nice to know:

  • Fataga is one of the most beautiful mountain villages on the island.
  • At the bakery you can buy typical Fataga breads with a special shape.
