It is a historic district in which beautiful buildings can be admired. One such place is the Plaza de Santa Ana square. Here you can find colorful buildings such as the Archivo Hist\u00f3rico Provincial de Las Palmas, the Casas Consistoriales de Las Palmas and the 16th century cathedral. Also worth seeing are the CAAM art museum and the Museo Canario on prehistory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, you can visit the Casa de Col\u00f3n in the Plaza de Columbus. It is a former governor's house where explorer Columbus stayed for a period of time. The building is now a museum, library and study center.
