Se trata de un espacio natural protegido de cinco kil\u00f3metros cuadrados. La arena tiene un color amarillo dorado y se compone de cal pulverizada, conchas y arena volc\u00e1nica. Sus hermosas y altas dunas recuerdan a muchos el S\u00e1hara.
