El Drago del Sao literally means The Dragon Tree of Sao – El Sao is the village where we are located and the famous Dragon Tree of Sao is right above us.
The beautiful El Drago del Sao mountain estate is located in the South of Gran Canaria island. With breath-taking mountain and valley views, it is a short drive to the local award winning beaches and yet only 35 minutes away from Las Palmas airport.
El Drago del Sao estate is a 10 minute drive to the coastal town of Arguineguin, once a small fishing village that now provides a good selection of restaurants, supermarkets, shops and cosy cafes. Charming terraces at the sea edge serve Canarian, Spanish and international food at affordable prices including deliciously prepared fresh local fish.
The government registered estate lies in an area of protected outstanding natural beauty in the midst of an oasis of Palm trees. There are 3 individual cottages that accommodate 2 persons – Pool House, Garden House and Main House. Infant cots are available on request. The cottages have use of the estate Common Areas – a large and immaculate garden, covered Gazebo, large swimming pool (heating available for additional fee) that is illuminated by night. Sun loungers and towels are provided.

A haven of peace
The 6000 m² garden is a heaven of peace located in a nature reserve. Our location is an excellent starting point to explore the island from. The hiking trail of ‘ruta 7’ runs behind the estate. It’s an ideal route for walkers, nature lovers and cyclists.
The estate is highly accessible and very centrally located. The airport is within a 35-minute drive away. The touristic seaside resort ‘Playa del Inglés’, the beautiful sand beach of ‘Maspalomas’ and the fishing harbor ‘Mogan’ that looks like it jumped right out of a painting are all located within a 20-minute drive from the estate.
